한국어의 발음 규칙 (Pronunciation Rules of Korean)

 

 

1. Syllable-Final Sounds 1

  Syllable-final consonants in Korean are pronounced as one of the seven [ㄱ,ㄴ,ㄷ,ㄹ,ㅁ,ㅂ,ㅇ]. Given at the end of a syllable, consonants 'ㄱ,ㄲ,ㅋ' are pronounced as [ㄱ], 'ㄷ,ㅌ,ㅅ,ㅆ,ㅈ,ㅊ,ㅎ' as [ㄷ], and 'ㅂ,ㅍ' as [ㅂ].

2. Syllable-Final Sounds 2 : Double-Consonants

  When double consonants come at the end of a syllable, only one of them is pronounced.

  몫[목]   앉다[안따]   닭[닥]   읽다[익따]   여덟[여덜]   값[갑]   삶[삼]

3. Liaison 1

  The pronunciation of the final consonant in a syllable is realized as the first consonant of the following syllable which begins with a vowel.

 

수건이에요[수거니에요]        직업이 뭐예요? [지거비 뭐예요]        선생님이에요[선생니미에요]

 

 

4. Liaison 2

  Double-consonants before a vowel are pronounced respectively when coming at the final syllable. That is, the second consonant is pronounced with the vowel.

 

읽어요[일거요]   앉으세요[안즈세요]   짧아요[짤바요]   없어요[업써요]

 

5. Aspiration

  'ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ,ㅈ' before 'ㅎ' become aspirated as [ㅋ,ㅌ,ㅍ,ㅊ].

 

축하해요[추카해요]   좋다[조타]   많다[만타]    입학[이팍]    좋지요[조치요]
